Since November 2014, DKT Allseas have been serving as the sole liner agency for The Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) in the UK, providing comprehensive FCL, OOG, and breakbulk services between the UK and the Indian Sub-continent.
Due to the high demand from Indian trade, SCI has expanded into numerous sectors. SCI’s fleet consists of Bulk carriers and Container vessels. With a history spanning six decades, SCI now holds a prominent position throughout the international maritime industry.
SCI currently possesses and manages approximately one-third of all Indian tonnage. It also holds operational stakes in nearly all sectors of the shipping industry catering to both domestic and global trade routes.
FCL Service
SCI FCL services offers comprehensive coverage for containerised, Break bulk, and OOG cargo to and from the Indian Sub-Continent. This is achieved through a strategic mix of direct calls, Slot sharing, Slot charters and Feeder arrangements to major ports such as Colombo, Mundra and Nhava Sheva. These hub-ports serve as crucial feeder points connecting to all major ports in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Additionally, SCI operates multiple inland container depots across all Indian Major Cities.
SCI formed a consortium with M/S Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC). This collaboration has resulted in the establishment of an ISE Service (Indian Subcontinent Europe Service) that operates on a weekly basis. As part of this service, SCI-MSC make eight monthly calls to and from Felixstowe, London Gateway, and All Major EU ports.
Breakbulk Service
SCI are the sole Indian shipping company that offers overseas Break-bulk services. These services are available for both imports and exports to and from India, encompassing the shipment of Over-Dimensional Cargoes (ODC), Project cargoes, Heavy Lift cargoes, IMO Class I Cargoes and containers.
